As The JOYful Farmette is on not located in the USA, this is not a 501c3 endeavor but one of love. We call these donations a path to sponsoring a goat for a month, a season, a year or for a one-time fling. If you want to know about tax-deductions, please consult your CPA. Upon your sponsorship donation you will be emailed a receipt. Keep that for your records.

I’d say directly to the goat of your choice, but they’d eat your funds. So instead, all monies collected go into buying hay, feed and employment for those to cut grass and bush. In addition, sponsorships are applied to vet bills and weather-proofing of current shelters. Oh, and milk for any new rescue babies!

OMGosh, yes! If you’d like to come visit The JOYful Farmette, pet a goat, and enJOY the island—it’s possible. We have a lovely cottage for rent and other opportunities. Reach out to us via the contact page and more details can be shared on an individual basis.

We can, however, it’s best to reach out as everything must be shipped to the island and the cost is rather high. For example, we buy our hay in St Maarten. There is a trucking cost there, a boat cost to get it to our island, and another trucking cost from the harbor to the sanctuary.

Same with packages . . . a lot of shipping logistics.
